Chicago Bird Store's 30-day return policy gives you plenty of time to consider your purchase. That's why you can be sure you made the right decision.
If for any reason you are not satisfied, you can return the item in its original condition within 30 days of the date of shipment for a refund or an exchange.
There are a few exceptions:
1. There are no returns on living creatures such as birds. This is because the animal could have contracted a disease or debilitation while in your care. There is however a health guarantee on our birds and animals. See the health guarantee page for more information.
2. There is no refund on opened seed and/or pellet food or any consumable product. Sealed an unopened packages are returnable provided it is still within the expiration date and the return is made within our return policy's time range.
3. Bird cages must be in the original and unopened boxes and/or crates.
4. Bird Toys must not show any visual signs of use and the original tags must be present, attached and in new condition.
5. Shipping charges are non-refundable and the return shipping is also the responsibility of the customer.
6. Deposits on live birds and/or animals are non-refundable. Deposits are exchangeable for another bird/animal up to 30 days.
Once we receive your returned item and it is accepted, your refund or new item will be processed in just a few days. Upon receiving your return, the item will be reviewed by our Quality Assurance department. Please note that items showing signs of wear or those that have been engraved, altered, resized, damaged or used in any way cannot be accepted for return. Returns with no return code, and packages that are improperly packaged will be refused receipt.

To return an item to Chicago Bird Store call 1-877-744-2473 for Your Return Authorization Code. You will be given a Return Authorization Code. Write this code on the outside of the return package in a visible and ledgeable manner. You must include all original packaging and collateral material.
